PROTECT YOUR FEET.

Your feet are built to withstand a lot. As early as we can remember, one of the biggest "wins" as an infant, is walking. Now, we don't even think about doing it.

Our feet are made up of 26 bones, 33 joints, and over a hundred muscles and tendons. Proper footwear shouldn't just be for Olympian track stars or professional athletes, but for everyone. Granted, finding a pair of well-supported, fashionable shoes are quite rare.

Being that the majority of my business is done while standing on my feet, foot ware is extremely important. I prefer the brand Asics, as they provide a variety of strucutural support for both narrow, normal, and wide feet. They also have a variety of colors, and change their styles often enough that I can stay somewhat fashionable. Yes, Asics are known for their running sneakers, but I find that running sneakers provide the arch support that I need for the 12 to 14 hours a day that I am on them.

It is important to have shoes that are interchangeable. For example, if you’re a runner, you should have a pair of sneakers designated for running, that you use only for running. If you’re a gym goer, you should have a pair of sneakers designated for the gym. I highly recommend not using running sneakers for weight lifting, as the heel provides too much height for you to be able to fully activate your hamstrings when training lower body extremities.
